YouTube Is Growing My Business | 2024 Q3 Update | Road To A Millionaire Pt. 10

by Cole

Hey everyone! My name is Cole Connor, and if you’re new here, I’m a real estate photographer, content creator, and entrepreneur on the road to becoming a millionaire. I was put here to do three things: create, inspire, and love. That’s why I share my income reports with you all—not because it’s all about the money, but because the money helps me continue on this path and gives me the freedom to build the life I want.

Today, I’m excited to dive into my Q3 income report for 2024. There are two things I want to highlight before we get into the numbers:

  1. I’ve already made more in the first three quarters of this year than I did all of last year.
  2. About half of my income came in the last few weeks, including $3,000 from a single deal!

Now, let’s get into the details.

The Numbers: Q3 2024 Breakdown

Before I dive into Q3, let me quickly recap my monthly income so far this year:

  • January: $10,619
  • February: $5,682
  • March: $8,562
  • April: $10,489
  • May: $12,631
  • June: $7,804

Now, let’s move on to Q3, where things have been both steady and surprising:

  • July: $5,988
July has been a bit slow for the past few years, and this year was no different. I’m not sure why, but I’m starting to see a pattern here.
  • August: $9,739
Almost doubling July’s total, August was a strong month for me, bringing in some much-needed revenue before the final month of the quarter.
  • September: $8162
September, on the other hand, was one of the slowest months I’ve had all year. However, this was expected as I was preparing for bigger projects and personal shifts. I’m not too worried because I know some huge things are in the works.

On average, I earned $7,923 for Q3, bringing my year-to-date average up to $8,853 per month. Almost all of this money came from real estate photography, videography, 3D tours, and my real estate photography business in Los Angeles.

Multiple Income Streams: How I’m Diversifying

1. Real Estate Photography

As always, my bread and butter is real estate photography. Whether through my business, Bo Los Angeles, or working for other companies in the same space, this is where the majority of my income comes from. It’s stable, it’s growing, and it’s been a great way to meet new clients and partners.

2. Etsy

I also made about $1,000 this quarter on Etsy. My store has been pretty steady, bringing in around $5,000 for the first year I’ve been on the platform. It’s not growing as fast as I’d hoped, but it’s consistent and a nice addition to my income.

3. YouTube

YouTube is another platform that’s steadily contributing to my growth. I made about $300 this quarter from YouTube ads, which is exciting. I’m noticing that the more I grow my YouTube channel, the more opportunities I have in other areas. For example, some people buy my presets on Etsy or Shopify, and I’ve even had a couple of sales from a course I created back in 2021.

4. Amazon Affiliates

I made about $140 through Amazon affiliates this quarter. This isn’t huge, but every little bit helps, and I expect this to grow as my YouTube channel continues to gain more traction.

5. Other Sources (Skillshare, Medium, Udemy)

I earned a little bit of income through Skillshare, Medium, and Udemy, but it was under $100 total. These platforms aren’t my main focus right now, but I’m keeping them active and may revisit them in the future.

The Power of YouTube: Growing My Business

While YouTube hasn’t been a massive source of direct income yet, it’s been instrumental in growing my real estate photography business. In just the last two weeks, I’ve had two people find me through my YouTube videos and hire me for big jobs—one for $1,500 and another for $600. That’s $2,100 directly from YouTube exposure in just two weeks!

One of my main clients, who I work with regularly here in Los Angeles, also found me through my YouTube channel. This relationship has been incredibly valuable, and it’s all thanks to the visibility YouTube provides. It’s wild how just making videos can lead to real-world business growth.

Reflecting on Past Growth: Year by Year

As always, I like to take a moment to look back and see how far I’ve come:

  • 2022: $61,000 total income
  • 2023: $78,200 total income
  • 2024 (so far): $79,000 as of October 9th

It’s only early October, and I’ve already made more than I did all of last year. With the momentum I’m seeing, I’m confident that I’ll hit the $100K mark this year, and I might even get close to $110K. That would be a pretty significant jump from last year, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Personal Growth: Tackling Debt and Improving Credit

One of the most exciting things happening for me right now is the progress I’m making with my personal finances. I’ve been paying off my credit card debt aggressively, and in the past month alone, I’ve knocked out $3,000 worth of debt. That’s a huge deal for me, and it’s been a long time coming.

On top of that, my credit score has improved by 150 points in the last year. I’ve gone from a low score to something I’m really proud of, and it’s all because I’ve been focusing on paying off debt and managing my money better.

What’s Next: Big Changes on the Horizon

While I don’t want to dive too deep into it right now, I will say that there are some major changes happening in my life. I’ve been hinting at them in my videos and on social media, but I’m saving the full announcements for a future video. Just know that I’ve been manifesting the life I want, and things are falling into place in a really positive way.

If you’re a friend, follower, or fan, you may have noticed that I’ve been a little quieter lately. That’s because I’ve been focusing on these big changes and preparing for what’s next. Stay tuned because I’m going to share everything with you soon!

So, that’s the Q3 2024 income report. It’s been a wild year, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the growth I’ve seen both in my business and personally. I’m on track to hit my financial goals, I’m getting out of debt, and I’m excited about the future.
