This year has been my highest-earning year yet — I’m on track to make over $130,000 from my real estate photography business. But weirdly, it’s also been the hardest. I’ve lost clients, questioned my creative direction, and faced a brutal truth: success can make you soft.
Q3 2025 at a glance:
- July: $10,733
- August: $10,739
- September: $9,282
- Total so far this year: $98,554
Even with two weeks spent on a cross-country RV trip, I managed to stay consistent — something I’m proud of. But when I came home, I realized I’d drifted from what got me here in the first place: hunger, curiosity, and service.
The Lesson: Give People What They Want (Without Losing Yourself)
I’ve always been rebellious about trends. I don’t want to edit like everyone else, post like everyone else, or follow the same playbook. But the truth is — if people want something, they’ll get it from somewhere. It might as well be you.
The trick is doing it your way, but delivering what works.
Why I Shared This
Transparency matters. These income reports aren’t about bragging — they’re about showing what’s possible, and what it actually takes. Because building a creative business isn’t just numbers — it’s a mental, emotional, and spiritual process.
What’s Next
Heading into Q4, I’m focused on giving more than I take — creatively and in business. I want to go into 2026 with momentum, gratitude, and purpose.
