I don’t think anything could’ve prepared me for this.
Falling in love fast. Getting the biggest news of my life one month later. Watching someone I barely knew become my person. Becoming a dad before I even felt like I had fully grown up myself.
This wasn’t the plan. And yet… here we are.
Our story is anything but traditional. It’s messy, beautiful, chaotic, and somehow still feels like it was written before we ever met. From late-night playlists and mushroom chocolate to ultrasounds and eviction notices, this journey has been equal parts miracle and madness.
The pregnancy wasn’t easy. The relationship hasn’t been easy. But what has surprised me the most is how love grows in the middle of all the hard parts. How the most unexpected things can teach you the most important lessons. And how a baby boy we didn’t plan for has already made me want to be a better man.
This short film means a lot to me. It’s raw, real, and deeply personal. I put my heart into it not just as a filmmaker, but as a partner, a father, and someone who is still figuring it all out.
